We started this journey to change the narrative. Today, the world is taking notice.
This year, M+N (Avatar Agency Group) was officially ranked the #1 Fastest-Growing Advertising Agency in Africa, landing at #24 overall on the Financial Times and Statista’s “Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies 2026” index — a ranking of the continent’s top 130 companies by revenue growth, drawn from more than 9,000 businesses evaluated across Africa.
We Didn’t Set Out to Compete. We Set Out to Do Our Own Thing.
When I built this agency — independent, 100% Black-owned, starting with R2,000 and a conviction — people told us, plainly, that we couldn’t compete with the global legacy networks. So we didn’t try to compete on their terms. We built our own thing, despite the odds and the many challenges that came with it. Digital-first, when the industry was still chasing print and TV. Pan-African, when most agencies were content to stay local. And we proved something along the way: that true African creativity can scale to a world-class level, right from our own backyard.
A Number That Means Something
Landing at #24 overall — and #1 among advertising agencies in Africa — is a testament to one thing, really: a relentless grind, an incredible team, and divine alignment. We call it Business by Grace, because that’s exactly what it’s been.
